A Rainy Day Activity

It has been wonderfully rainy off and on here lately.
So over the weekend I gave the girls one of the rainy day activities I have saved on my computer.
I got this idea from this blog.
I don't have the actual link
to the smart lady who came up with this idea any more,
but if you have young kids you should really check this blog out.
FUN FUN FUN crafty ideas for kids.

All I did was cut a long piece of butcher paper and gather the crayons.
Then the girls went to town
drawing their own  town for their cars.

Oh my goodness!
They loved this!
They were busy planning, drawing and coloring for hours.

Then they got to play with it.

The girls are already making plans to expand their town.
I'll save that for another rainy day.

A great place to buy the HUGEST roll of butcher paper is Costco.
I bought ours about 4 years ago and we use it
ALL THE TIME.
It's located in the saran wrap aisle.

Another bonus to this activity
is when it's bed time
they just roll it up!

Looking forward to more cozy rainy (and soon snowy) day activities.

Have a delightful day!
