Top of the Mornin' To You

Happy Monday!
I hope you all had a lovely and relaxing weekend.
We had a splendid one indeed!

On Saturday we got out for a hike.
I absolutely love exploring God's creation with my family.

It was lovely to take a hike without wrestling with all the snow gear.

You can tell Spring is on its way with all the puddles and MUD.

And of course the higher we went, the less mud
and more snow there was.

But there will little glimpses of Spring everywhere- like beautiful bright green mossy logs.

Did you have fun with St.Patrick's Day?
I've been known to throw a little shin dig, but just couldn't pull it off this year.
But we still had a bit of fun with just us.
Reason # 6,237 you need an ice cream maker: whipping up your own mint ice cream.

We had sugary cereal and green bread for breakfast.

And we had corned beef with all the fixings for dinner.

It was a lovely weekend indeed.

Hope you have a fantastic start to your week!

  1. Looks like a nice hike. :) Fun idea with the green bread! I don't think we've ever done anything for St. Patrick's Day other than wear green. This year I even forgot to wear green and our arms were pinched by our little friend at church. ;) Hope you have a great week! I had a late start today - didn't even get out of bed until 8:30!

  2. We didn't do anything this year except hang up a little St. Patrick's Day banner that I made. I finally got that di that cuts the perfect triangles and has the beautiful scallop circles. :) I use it non-stop now and don't know why I didn't buy it sooner!

  3. Such beautiful pictures from your walk...yay for signs of spring! We had sugary ceral here as well and corn beef for dinner. It was my first time making it and it was a hit! What kind of bread did you make?
How you are having a great Monday!

  4. How cute is your family! Love how active you guys are. You inspire me! Oh and that ice cream machine is something I think I must have. Guess I should get active, huh?! Ha! Hope you have a great week too! xoxo

  5. MAN!! What I wouldn't do for some of that ice cream right now!!! Think it would last in the mail?? :) Looks like a great day you had.

  6. That ice cream looks amazing! Hiking is one of my favorite things to do with my young family too. You live in a beautiful area! I am also a Homeschool mom. :)
