A Yummy Recipe For Your Weekend

 Hooray it's Friday!

One of my favorite things about the weekend is unrushed mornings to make a yummy breakfast.
I have also learned that Sundays, before church, a homemade breakfast often leads to rushing and yelling.
So I always try to have a pre-made homemade yummy for Sundays.

Our favorite?

Nana's Cinnamon Swirl Bread!

I know I have shown you many pictures of my girls enjoying this treat, so I thought I'd give you the recipe so you can bless your family with our favorite.

First, put on some good head boppin' tunes

(it turns out better if you shake your booty while baking)

Then gather your ingredients

Ingredients:

2 pkgs. Yeast
2 cups warm water
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon salt
2 eggs
1/4 cup veggie oil
6-61/2 cups flour
FILLING
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tablespoon cinnamon
one stick softened butter

A little tip: get out a stick of butter now so it has time to soften.
Nothing's more frustrating then trying to spread hard butter.

Then throw all the ingredients in the mixer.

You'll know you've added enough flour
when the dough starts to clean the bowl.

I let the mixer do most of the kneading for me.

I also knead by hand because it makes me feel like Betty Crocker.

After plopping in a greased bowl, let that baby rise.

Then call the kids in to punch it down- it's super fun.

Here's another helpful hint: make sure to roll the dough out to the correct size- if you roll it wider than your bread pan you'll have goofy swirls.

Mmmmmm . . .  it makes your house smell  so yummy!!

Let me know if you have any questions!

I hope you have a delightful weekend
full of sweet moments with your family.
