Happy Friday!
Hope you've all had a lovely week!
I'm excited for the weekend,
but first I must get caught up on laundry.
So what a perfect day to show you my new and improved laundry room!
So what a perfect day to show you my new and improved laundry room!
Here are a few before shots:
Very functional,
just very blahhhhhhhh.
In theory this nice big counter would be great.
But the bottom cabinet was a jumbled mess of 6 people's shoes
And the counter always became a load off zone.
Week after week I would have to unbury it.
And even though we had that big cabinet for shoes,
they always seemed to over flow . . . everywhere!
That little cabinet was just set there once ,
and then it stayed.
Very awkward.
So here are a few pics of a much happier place.
C' mon in!
First thing we did was take out that cabinet
so we had a place for a bench.
It's so nice to have a place to sit to put your shoes on!
That chalkboard is where my ironing board hides.
We took that little twirly thing for keys from our first house.
We just loved it.
I hung a magnet board by the door for a place to hang outgoing mail.
I'm not sure what it was originally used for, but I fell in love with the yellow and red chippiness.
These orange lockers have been awesome!
It is SO much easier to find shoes
because we each have our own spot.
We still have the basket to catch a few stragglers
but now it's only overflowing occasionally.
I hung this sweet vintage medicine cabinet
for a quick 'check the hair' spot before heading out the door
The inside hides a few goodies
Bug spray, sun screen, lip stick, mints and baby wipes.
The baby wipes work great for the milk mustache I notice as we're walking out the door.
A much happier place to greet us when we come home
and
I'm much more diligent keeping up with the laundry so my new laundry room stays cute.
