Happy Friday Friends!
On Wednesday, I showed you a little glimpse of our new light hanging over our reading nook.
I have been drooling over this picture I pinned quite a few months ago.
Isn't it beautiful?
So on a trip to Target to pick up some TP and hair mousse,
I spotted a lantern kit.
With this fun craft in mind, I threw it in my cart.
And it has been sitting in my craft room for months.
And it has been sitting in my craft room for months.
In a sincere effort to procrastinate lesson planning, I decided our reading area needed this light.
So in complete copycat fashion I created my own.
If you decide you need one of these lights too, I highly suggest buying the lantern kit, it came with everything you need to hang it up!
Other supplies was glue gun, random paper (I used dictionary, card stock and white tissue paper) and beads.
Now I have to admit, I have a handy dandy die cut machine that cut all my shapes for me, but you could always google for templates and cut by hand.
Then I just layered and glued away!
And she looks so purty all lit up!
I'll be linking up with a fun few gals.
You should go and check out all the amazing creativity!

ReplyDeleteSo cute! I love it more when the light is on so you just need to work in the dark all the time so you can keep it on! And, hello? The best die-cut machine on the market!!! It's okay...you can let your readers know it's a "Big Shot". ;-) Heee...heeee....
