A Patriotic Burlap Bunting

Don't you just love Pottery Barn?

I've only ordered from the catalog a few times,
but I mainly use those beautiful pictures as inspiration.
Like this fun bunting:

Cute right?

So here's how I made mine:

I first cut burlap into fun pennant shapes.
And because working with burlap is like working with a sheep dog,
I 'Fray-Checked" the edges to prevent them from  . . . well, fraying.

Then I cut out vinyl stars using my Cricut

and painted over the entire flag.

Then I taped off the stripes and painted again,

I found it best to use more of a blotting method
rather then regular brush strokes.

After painting, carefully pull off the tape and star "stickers."

Then I simply folded the top over some twine
and hot glued it in place.

It was so quick and easy to make I made two-
one for my shop at Station 8 and one for me!

Hope you get a chance to get crafty today!
